Senggigi Beach

Candi Borobudur

Candi Borobudur

Merupakan salah satu tempat yang sering dikunjungi wisatawan asing maupun lokal. Lokasi candi kurang lebih 100 km di sebelah barat daya kota Semarang dan 40 km di sebelaha barat laut kota Yogyakarta.











Candi ini didirikan oleh para penganut agama Buddha Mahayana sekitar tahun 800-an M pada masa pemerintahan Wangsa Syailendra.

Candi Borobudur berbentuk punden berundak, yang terdiri dari enam tingkat berbentuk bujur sangkar, tiga tingkat berbentuk bundar melingkar dan sebuah stupa utama sebagai puncaknya.
